Anna Zworykina, the founder and the “nose” of Anna Zworykina Perfumes, is a well-known natural perfume maker in Russia. For over 15 years already, Anna has been creating perfumes of natural materials and introducing fragrance lovers to natural perfumery.
Anna mastered natural perfumery – the art, science and craft at the same time – on her own. Her enthusiasm about the olfactory side of life, scientific cast of mind and education as a Biochemist (Anna is Ph.D. in Biology), creative thinking, passion for unusual things and non-conventional solutions, love for life and arts helped Anna in her successful path from the beginner to the master whose works are appreciated by perfumery lovers and by the professional perfumery community.
Anna contributes to development of Russia in natural perfumery and growth of interest in it with all Russian perfume lovers. She shares her knowledge in her publications in the mass media, at workshops and classes, in her blog Natural Perfumery and her book "From Cloves to Sandal. Olfactory Alphabet and Guide across the World of Natural Fragrances" – the first book in Russian about natural perfumery.
Anna has created five fragrances for SWITCH. PERFUMES & MORE.
Irina Batkova, the artist and brand designer, graduated from Samara College of Arts. After working in major companies of Samara and Moscow with international brands for several years, Irina took a great interest in brand designing and currently specializes in development of corporate identity.
In 2012, she created her own brand of silk scarves Sirinbird. Signature ornaments on Irina’s products tell us about the Russian culture, its history and soul; they speak emotional, contemporary and fashionable language. Creating a pattern for a scarve is not only an artistic work but a painstaking work in archives and libraries where Irina searches for sources of inspiration in Slavic culture and Old Russian arts. Irina processes a large amount of information before a perfectly adjusted drawing appears, that is up-to-date and contemporary but traces its roots to customs and ancient cultural codes.
All graphics on Sirinbird scarves are “alive”: a drawing is created on a paper and only later it is reproduced with PC where it is completed in graphic editors. For now, Sirinbird collection numbers approximately twenty shawls including Saint Petersburg’s Fairy Tale prepared for the 200th anniversary of Hermitage, and The Little Prince created upon request of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s successors in rights.
Five scarves and sleeping masks created by Irina were inluded to SWITCH. PERFUMES & MORE collection. She also developed the design for the collection’s packing.
